For the World Poker Tour Legends of Poker, Day 2 was wrap up by Phil Collins as the chip leader entering the Day 3 of action. Taking steps in the poker industry, the 100 Club is equipped with action as Kathy Liebert settles the game over the weekend. In the history of World Poker Tour, she was the second player to take part in the 100 WPT events. In the previous month Erik Seidel become the first player to enjoy 100. This something good for Liebert to mark another history in the WPT.
Take part in the River Guaranteed $3 Million Poker Series that kicks off on August 23 at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla. There will be eight events before the actions starts in the Main Event featuring the $3 million guaranteed prize. Eight events would be no-limit Texas hold’em along with one pot-limit Omaha event. The buy-in for the Main Event is worth $2,100 with first prize worth $2.5 million. The event will start on Thursday, September 2.
The nomination is on for the Poker Hall of Fame. As of today, there were 181 nominees. As stated by the World Series of Poker Communications Director Seth Palansky , “We’re very pleased with the public’s input into the Poker Hall of Fame this year and look forward to unveiling the 2011 Poker Hall of Fame class as part of this year’s November Nine festivities.”
Aside from the bursting hot of WPT Legends of Poker, the PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour Edinburgh gathers a field of 401 players that compete for the title. Joining the event were Jesse May and Liv Boeree. Taking the fruits of his labor was Nick Abou Risk bagging the £50,000 first-place prize, and a seat in the UKIPT Grand Final.
